# 1902.
1. The Revenue for the year 1902 amounted to $4,157,763.01 or, inclusive of Land Sales and Water Account, to $4,901,073.70. The Expenditure during the same period was $5,909,548.51. There was thus an excess of Expenditure over Revenue of $1,008,474.81.
2. ## REVENUE
The total Revenue of the year, amounting as stated above to $4,901,073.70 was $295,108.70 more than the Estimate of $4,605,965 and exceeded the Revenue of 1901 by $687,180.48.
The estimated receipts of Revenue were exceeded under all Heads with the exception of "Interest" and "Water Account", which fell short of the Estimates by $2,996.08 and $14,050.53 respectively.
The differences between the amounts estimated and realised under Heads and Sub-Heads are shown in the accompanying Detailed Statement of Revenue.
## EXPENDITURE
3. The total Expenditure of $5,909,548.51 exceeded the total Estimate by $1,350,593.25, and was greater than the Expenditure of 1901 by $1,797,826.02.
The excesses on the various Heads, amounting in gross, as shown in the Account, to $1,448,874.35, have been duly provided for by Supplementary Appropriation Ordinance (No. 9 of 1903) with the exception of ...
